I am a spiritual person and political. According to Beliefnet.com, I'm a pagan, but having been raised Unitarian Universalist, I incorporate a broad range of beliefs into my personal creed.
According to Politicalcompass.com, I'm a centrist left-libertarian. That's fairly accurate, though quite a few of my acquaintances would consider me conservative on the issues we discuss.
As a rule, I hate confrontation and conflict. But these days one must take a stand. I look forward to a time of greater harmony in my country and in the world and I consider it my duty to help bring it to pass. In the meantime I'm seeking my own little 'island of joy' to share with people in my life. That's one reason I'm here.
If there's one thing for which I have no tolerance, it's intolerance. (Feel free to chuckle. ;) ) So if you're a right wing fundamentalist anything, go away!
I'd love to meet people from anywhere, but it would be great to find some more local buds to hang out with. (I'm still relatively new to the south.)
