Paul has the face of a young boy attached to the body of a really tall man. Maybe it was just the lighting, but it seemed somehow important at the time. I noticed this last night while sitting in the dark with him in the passenger seat of his car. All meaningful things with Paul happen in cars. He has very bright blue eyes, the brightest, and when i walked down the stairs with my make up smeared all around my my own eyes from repeated disappointment to find him standing in the foyer of the ridiculous party, his eyes were the first/only thing I saw. Maybe everything else was just grey, wan, bleached out, pale. Maybe his eyes were the only thing in the room that had any color in them.

i love paul. paul is a beautiful balance of thought and action. dreaming and doing. i think paul needs to get over seattle and come live wherever i move next. i want to dream and do with you! xxoo
