I was driving through Northern California and Oregon when the fires began and coming back through the day they ended.

There was an erie cloud of smoke over Lake Shasta when I stopped for the day to play in the sun. note: the water in Lake Shasta is warm for swimming even in June.

Although each person has sun and animal signs, our monthly calendar is controlled in both western and eastern astrology by first the moon and then the planets. When everything on the planet seems to not be working cohesively, I have found myself turning to Dr. Standley’s site, which is free and easy to read. She has been dead-on every time in explaining why things have gone haywire and she, unlike other astrologers, has given polite undiscriminatory answers to dealing with those events. She is also honest yet funny.

Although this astrologer is Christian, she is also Cherokee. She takes into consideration and answers questions on many kinds of philosophy, as well as addresses how she is a practicioner while still a church-going Christian. It reminds us that we are controlled ourselves by mother nature, even if you don’t believe in life after death, religion or anything spiritual at all. Her site shows how changes and miracles come down to the magnetic pulls around Earth. It reminds us that we are habitants on Earth and therefore affected by the planetary pulls.
