When I first met you I thought.."what a strange man". Coming from me and the strangest freak around thats the pot calling the kettle black.
Kamikaze is high energy, push ahead don't stop lets see where we land kind of energy. He has a past that he has learned from and never gives up and always try's to be the best person he can be. I admire and respect him. He is a liver of life and I am grateful for him making the world an interesting an better place to be in.
Thank you KK.

When you look up the word "Man" in the dictionary...well...
..you might not get a fucking chance because Kamikaze Kelly may suddenly come flyin' out to tackle you with his shining spirit, and indominable energy - before you even get to the "M"s!! lol OOF!
Oh and btw I'm the one who came up with K X 2. If I coulda taken out a patent/copyright or some shit I'd be a rich man! But to tell you some corny & true shit: when you have friends like K X 2 you ARE rich.

I'm one of the recipients of 'Kamikaze inspiration'. Build community with Honor. THAT is the essense of Sgt. John "Kamikaze' Kelly. And it's why I'm proud to call him "friend" and "brother-in-arms".

KK I met on Tribe. He is a fabulous pain in the ass. A good man. Big flirt.
Adorable. He is a good friend of mine. I am lucky to have met him.
Says what is on his mind and owns up. Can't get better than that ;-0

I love you. It's that plain and simple. Your path is yours and you own it... always. Even when you seem to be questioning it... you know who, what, when, where, and why you are. That is a truly amazing thing my friend and I am full of gratitude to have been able to cross paths with you.
To many more crossroads where we will meet.
XOXOXOXO

I've never been in the armed forces; never been in a war. But when I run into KK, it feels like how it must feel to run into a brother in arms. We've helped each other through some tight spots. The first time I met Kamikaze was years ago at Dreamtime. Although shorthanded, we had each others' back and managed a fine festival. Been annoying each other ever since.

about me
I tend to take things over the top. My sense of humor is...well, let's just say that my favorite line from a movie is from 'Full Metal Jacket' when the FNG asks the Gunner in the door of the Huey "How can you shoot Women and Children?!" drum roll, please..."It's Easy! You just don't lead them as much!!”
If I can make you snort milk out of your nose with my writings, I'm a happy Man.
I'm fiercely protective of me and mine.
When not fighting with the Military, I work Counter Culture festivals. Burningman is my favorite. From DPW (lived on the ranch 2002-2003), to a few years as a part of the BRC Airport Management Team, and currently active in Regionals. Wherever I go, I love to work, make new friends, and bum warm beers while blasting 'Cat Scratch Fever' at 7:30 AM to help the Ravers get up and enjoy their day while evicting Hippies and I actually get paid for this shit. I've got the best job on or off the Playa!
Whatever You are for...I'm against!!!

ps I reserve the right to change my mind daily...
It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life’s betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us to
be careful
be realistic
remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”
It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.
It doesn’t interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.

Please come check out the project that I have been working on out here the last three weeks.
Megatropolis behind the Temple. A six structure city scape 58 feet tall.
20 good men and women have been working 12 hour days on a budget of $20,000
For comparison, and no disrespect meant to the Temple Crew, they started with a $60,000 art grant.
We got nothing.
Temple raised $180,000
We raised $20,000 and the budget is $40,000
Temple has between 250-350 people.
We have 20.
Our project rock...

There are some things about Otto that I don't like. But...he is a big scary ex-Marine and I really do NOT want to get 'stabbed in the neck'!
So! Let me tell you a few good things about this amazingly competent man.
Kiwi came up with the idea for Megatropolis last year (the major Art installation behind the Temple that got no funding and we are still 'gettin er done' in an old school DPW way) and Otto and Kiwi made it happen. They are a team. Both crew leads. But Otto, with his years of expe...

right now my underwear, jeans, socks, and shirt are in a washing machine with an Australians, a Canadians, A Germans, and an Irishman's.
Had to be said.
Rolling out of Reno tomorrow to go back to Gerlach and pitch a tent for a month in the Black Rock Desert.
We load up a trailer I wired this morning to tow some of the Megatropolis infrastructure.
This just in. Temple wants us to move our Art piece 600 yards deeper Playa. Apparently the word is out. We are BIG and must burn on Friday ni...

After a few days of grunt work and sitting around and waiting and grunt work, I went out deep Playa to see the meteor shower.
There was the 'Friends of Black Rock' campout with Will Rodgers and Crimson Rose 7.3 miles north of the city and 3 miles east, but I just didn't want to be near those folk. I wanted to be alone. For one night. In the middle of the Black Rock Desert before 50,000 people show up. Even the less than 500 who are there now was too many for my current state of mind. I want...

Instead of Gate road, I went back to Reno to help out at Hagey's for Megatropolis. It was a wise move.
There is a young man named Shane who hangs out there. 21 years old, no degrees, damn good mechanic, and more important, trustworthy!
In 8-10 hours he fixed 6 issues with my truck that my Mechanic buddies in Missouri couldn't get to. I drove across America with no seat belt. Shane fixed that in 5 minutes. The rear doors that never got sealed so when it rains the back third of my truck gets ...
