Beltane (auch Beltaine, Bhealltainn oder Bealtaine, irisch) ist der zweite Höhepunkt des keltischen Jahreskreises. Beltane wird in der Nacht zum und am 1. Mai gefeiert. Liese Langobarde posted a photo:
Beltane war wie viele ähnliche Feste ein Frühlings- und Fruchtbarkeitsfest, es gehört zu den sogenannten Feuerfesten. Es steht für das Neuerwachen und die Aufbruchstimmung der Erde nach dem Winter, ein Fruchtbarkeitsfest nicht nur im Sinne der Fortpflanzung, sondern auch für Kreativität, neue Ideen, Projekte oder neue Beziehungen. Im keltischen Jahreskreis kann es mit der aufblühenden Jugend verglichen werden. Soweit wir heute noch darüber Wissen besitzen, stellten in der irischen Mythologie Ãbergänge aller Art (Land/Wasser, Erde/Luft, Jahreszeiten) besondere, heilige Orte und Zeiten dar. An diesen Grenzpunkten und -zeiten sollen die Ãbergänge von âDies- und Andersweltâ als besonders durchlässig gegolten haben. Liese Langobarde posted a photo:
Beltane wurde von Neuheiden wiederbelebt und neu interpretiert, u.a. als mystische Vereinigung von âGottâ und âGöttinâ, Beginn des Wachstums in der Natur, Zunahme der Kraft von Feen und Elfen, Zeit des Chaos, der âwilden Energieâ, der Liebe und Vereinigung.

Der Leuchtturm Wittenbergen bildet seit 1900 zusammen mit dem Leuchtturm Tinsdal die Richtfeuerlinie Wittenbergen-Tinsdal für elbabwärts fahrende Schiffe an der Elbe im Hamburger Stadtteil Rissen. Liese Langobarde posted a photo:
Elbe - Das Ãstuar ist von Blankenese bis Brunsbüttel zwischen 1 und 2,5 km breit und weitet sich dann zwischen Brunsbüttel und Cuxhaven auf zuletzt etwa 15 km auf; ab diesem Bereich wird die Elbe auch Elbstrom genannt, obwohl eigentlich das gesamte Gewässer als Strom anzusehen ist. Von den einst zahlreichen Elbinseln der Unterelbe liegen einige noch heute im Strom, andere sind durch Eindeichung zu Teilen der Ufer geworden.

Wittenbergen: Am 19. Mai 2008 wurde der Sandstrand zwischen dem Leuchtturm und dem Anleger, welcher durch den Schiffsverkehr auf der Elbe über die Jahre in Mitleidenschaft gezogen wurden, durch das Rainbow-Verfahren und Uferbefestigungen saniert.
