When the feces is flying into the turbine. When everyone in sight is either hitting the dirt or running like hell. When our trusted authorities have lost all semblance of sanity and are sitting in the corner drooling and babbling. Jim will dispense wisdom concerning What Needs To Be Done Next. And he'll help us do it.

How can I possibly sum up Mayor Jim?

Brilliant.
Witty.
Funny.
Real.

Once you have captured his heart, he is quick to offer up a shoulder to cry on, a hot tub to soak in, a friend to stay up all night giggling with, or a sanctuary to hide in, depending upon your needs at the time. And if he really adores you, he may even offer all the above all at once. Fucking amazing, if you ask me.

Jim is that friend you know you are *always* going to know. As long as you are as genuine to him as he is to you, rest assured your friendship will never be in danger. This is the man you can trust will stick with you.

Fun.
Excitement.
Loyalty.
Love.

Oh, and random trips to Mexico with only your toothbrush and no panties. But that is a story for another time!

Jim is ..... well, that's a tough one to pin down. He's a true friend and has come to my rescue more than a couple of times, a techie whiz, an awesome drinking buddy, supports all kinds of mad crazy ideas and I've never once heard him say-- aimee, that's a bad idea-- that scores big points in my book. He's a fabulous road trip partner (and takes pictures of my ass on varmints in mexico, but that's another story), someone to laugh hysterically with, someone to talk to about anything or nothing, an ace musician (you can never have too many great horn players in your circle), a laugher, a planner, a creator (he made a hottub out of a vw van for cryin out loud), a mixer of margaritas, an enabler of the 1st degree (tequila and jim equals stripping on stage) and one of my all time best friends in the world. If all this dosen't make you want to get to know him better than you think you do, lemme know and I'll toss out a hundred more reasons off the top of my head. Love ya babe.

I don't describe myself. I know... that's either too humble or too arrogant. I'm not sure which. Really it's just lazy.

My Blog

Been sort of busy lately changing my life around. I figure now that the ink is dry on all the contracts, I should announce and let people know what's up with me.

I quit my day job at JPL. This is my last full-time week. Gonna go a month at half time.

What I'm going to be doing instead is running several companies I've started and acquired, and doing it out of my house (and a small office in Silverlake).

Big Band Theory

This is a group made up mostly of employees of JPL and NASA who like playing music on the side. We released a CD earlier this year, and are starting to play more public shows. It should be a nice evening. Mostly we play old... read more
